Rob Belgiovane

In 1988 Rob founded BAM, one of Australia’s most awarded agencies. In 1995 he joined Saatchi & Saatchi Melbourne as creative director and management board member. Rob has judged on the Australian film jury at the Cannes International Ad Festival, the Australian Writers and Art Directors Awards (AWARD), the Asian Advertising Awards, and the 2007 Dubai Lynx Awards in the Middle East.

In 2008 he was appointed Chairman of the 34th Caxton Awards, the longest-running industry awards in Australia. Rob has won many national and international creative awards throughout his stellar career. He is a well-known commentator on advertising and marketing in Australia, featuring regularly on TV news and current affairs programs.

Paul Williams

Paul commenced his advertising career in London with Ogilvy. After eight years he transferred to Ogilvy Sydney to run the Amex and Unilever accounts. At the age of 28 Paul became a partner in creative agency Weekes Morris Osborn, and after the agency’s sale to DMB&B, he became the youngest managing director in the worldwide network.

During his 30-year career, Paul has gained broad experience across many blue chip clients from Qantas, Telstra, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, GIO, AAMI, American Express, Westpac and MasterCard. He was also communications leader in the float of GIO, the first 100% transfer of a GBE to private ownership in Australia.

Paul is widely recognised as a thought leader within the Australian advertising industry.

Jamie Mackay

EXECUTIVE PLANNING DIRECTOR

Educated in economics, psychology and marketing, Jamie is passionate about using sound marketing, insightful research and intelligent planning resources to deliver truly challenging ideas that positively effect marketing ROI.

He entered advertising in 1989 at J Walter Thompson and later on the Board of McCann Erickson working across world famous brands including Coca Cola, Kellogg’s, Unilever, Bacardi, Nestlé and Levi’s.

Jamie was a founding member of the Australian Account Planning Group (APG) and served seven years on the AFA Effectiveness Committee. He is enthusiastic about training within the industry and was curriculum writer and head lecturer for four years at AFA Ad School.

At BWM Jamie has instilled a planning culture and a zeal for Challenger Brand thinking. Under Jamie’s stewardship, the agency has received many strategic planning awards including The APG Grand Prix, numerous AFA Effectiveness trophies and a Gold Effie.

Megan Hales

NATIONAL PLANNING DIRECTOR

Megan Hales has more than 14 years experience in marketing and digital strategy in the UK and Australia.

In recent years she has worked at The Campaign Palace and Saatchi & Saatchi as both a Planning Director and Digital Director. In this role, she applied both her brand planning and love of all things digital for clients ranging across retail, FMCG, consumer electronics, automotive, financial services and travel industries.

Megan has developed a variety of innovative strategic planning tools that will lead to better channel integration and differentiation for her clients.

Richard O’Rourke

BOARD ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

After graduating with a Bachelor of Economics degree from Sydney University, Richard started his advertising career in the George Patterson Bates Graduate Trainee Program. He worked on a range of businesses at GPB, from Tourism NSW, Malaysian Airlines, Cunard, Asics and the Australian Red Cross through to Optus Business and Optus Mobile. Richard was promoted to Senior Communications Director at GPB to run the Hyundai business from 1999 to 2003.

He joined BWM in 2004 and was appointed to the Management Board in 2005. Most recently he has been managing the Maserati, Lotus, Ssangyong,  FUSO and Selleys accounts. He is particularly proud of the work BWM has done on Sanitarium Up&Go, Weet-Bix and So Good.

Tim Anderson

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Tim commenced his career in 1996 as an undergraduate trainee with Horwath Chartered Accountants, whilst studying a Bachelor of Business degree, completed in 2000. He went on to gain his professional qualifications, becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia in 2003.

Tim crossed over from the chartered accountancy world in 2004 to specialise in the marketing and communications industry. Tim has now developed a specialised skill set in providing financial, commercial and operational support strategies to creative agencies.

Asheen Naidu

EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

During his career, Asheen has worked for renowned international agencies such as BBH, The Campaign Palace, Leo Burnett and Saatchi & Saatchi. He has collected more than 70 awards, including 10 Cannes Lions and three Effies, for highly successful campaigns such as NRMA ‘Car Creation’.

Asheen joins BWM after four years at Whybin/TBWA where he held the role of Creative Director. He began his career working at top agencies in South Africa, before making his mark on agencies in Singapore, New York, and now Australia

Alex Carr

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Alex loves brands. 

He has helped shape many of the worlds great brands in some of advertising’s most progressive agencies. 

In the UK Alex started at Saatchi & Saatchi on P&G and then went on to further develop his skills at WCRS on Land Rover and Vodafone. 

After moving to Australia in 2003 (for a casual year away) Alex has led Optus and Tourism Australia at M&C Saatchi and shaped the Sony, Tooheys and Cadbury brands at Saatchi and Saatchi. 

In 2012 Alex moved to Havas Worldwide. With the support of a great team he helped double the size of the agency and preside over the most successful period in the agency’s history in terms of creative and effectiveness awards. 

Most recently Alex moved to the wonderful world of BWM Dentsu and is happier than ever.

Mark Watkin

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mark has over 17 years experience in marketing communications across advertising, digital and brand development working in Great Britain and Australia. Mark’s experience has come from multiple senior leadership positions with top tier agency businesses. Mark is a firm believer in how creativity can help organisations and brands can succeed and evolve.

Before joining BWM Group Melbourne, Mark was Managing Director at WhybinTBWA Group Melbourne where he helped grow the agency from 50 to 100 people in two years with substantial new client wins and a turnaround in the creative output. Prior to this Mark was Head of Client Services at George Patterson Y&R Melbourne where he worked for nearly 7 years. Both agencies won National agency of the year awards in 2012 and 2010 respectively. Mark has been involved with work that has won effectiveness and creative recognition at the leading global award shows.

An Englishman by origin (but now an Australian) Mark cut his teeth in advertising at Saatchi & Saatchi London before working for Hyperlink, one of the biggest independent digital agencies in the UK. Mark’s client and sector experience is broad with leading brands across all categories in particular automotive, sport and entertainment, financial, Federal Government, FMCG, the service industry and recruitment.

 

Belinda Murray

CLIENT SERVICES DIRECTOR

Belinda has 11 years experience in retail, FMCG, government, financial, destination and travel service, and has been running the Simplot and GE accounts at BWM for the past two years. Prior to this Murray worked at leading agencies Clemenger Harvie Edge, GP Y&R and The Campaign Palace.

Amy Hollier



Creative Group Head

Prior to BWM, Amy was with Saatchi & Saatchi in Paris, and was responsible for creating Europe-wide campaigns on the Procter & Gamble megabrand Ariel; she currently works with BWM across the Simplot and Kmart business.
